Film distributor gets clearance to add Monex executives to £ 18million suit

Law360, London (November 24, 2020, 6:11 p.m. GMT) – Film distributor Entertainment One was granted permission to add allegations to its £ 18million ($ 24million) lawsuit against Monex on Tuesday, claiming that the Major bosses of the foreign exchange company were aware of bribes paid to secure foreign exchange transactions.

Master Paul Teverson gave the film studio two weeks to provide the High Court with voluntary details of the claim setting out what members of the board of directors of the corporation knew about the alleged wrongdoing.

Entertainment One Ltd. proposed to make further changes to its request arguing that the “excessive” profits from the Canadian studio’s transactions had to be brought to the attention of Monex management …
