Celebrate summer with a movie and concert in one at The Little Mermaid Live in Concert on June 16

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Dive under the sea this summer at Disney’s The Little Mermaid Pavilion – Live in Concert sponsored by Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands! On Thursday, June 16, Disney’s animated classic hits the big LED screens as the Houston Symphony performs the film’s Oscar® and Grammy®-winning score live on stage. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. show. Mezzanine and lawn seating are FREE. Reserved orchestra seats are available for $25 per ticket.

One of the most beloved films and soundtracks, “The Little Mermaid” features songs and score by Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricist Howard Ashman. With its charming cast of characters, beloved songs and nominated musical score, The Little Mermaid – Live in Concert is the perfect way to introduce children to the arts while having fun!

To make the evening even sweeter, customers can enjoy free ice cream courtesy of Aramark (while supplies last) starting at 6 p.m. in the North Plaza. Other pre-performance activities include a meet-and-greet with Princess Ariel, an arts and crafts booth, themed games and sponsor activations.

Mezzanine and lawn seating are free for all performing arts events. Tickets for most performances are $25 for an orchestra seat. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic from home or their favorite restaurant to enjoy at their place or on the hill. Keep in mind that drinks cannot be brought to the Pavilion and picnics must also meet the Pavilion bag size restriction and/or be in their original packaging.

Families are encouraged to enjoy the magic of the arts with the Pavilion’s Mini Maestros Kids Club, a free and exciting program that makes the arts both fun and accessible to children of all ages. By registering for Mini Maestros, children will receive: a special membership lanyard and badge, free reserved seating at all performing arts events, early entry to Ice Cream Social or Hocus Pocus Pops, a ticket free for the children’s festival and other interesting benefits throughout the season. Families can register their children for one of the Pavilion’s performing arts events this season at a special booth located in the North Plaza or online at www.woodlandscenter.org/mini-masters.
